Hillary Chute

Hillary Chute is Distinguished Professor of English and Art + Design at Northeastern University.  She is the author or editor of seven books on comics and graphic narratives, and has collaborated with the cartoonists Art Spiegelman and Alison Bechdel. She has written for venues including ArtforumThe Atlantic, Bookforum, the Village Voice, the New York Review of Books, and the New York Times Book Review.

Tom Starr

Thomas Starr is professor of graphic and information design at Northeastern University. His work focuses on visual communication that engages civic, social and political discourse, challenging the public perception of issues such as gun violence, domestic violence, reproductive rights, and climate change. His work has been honored by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Association of American University Presses, Art Directors Club of New York and the Federal Design Council.
