Rebecca is an School Library Paraprofessional at the Dallin Elementary School in Arlington, MA. She is a passionate advocate for literacy, a lover of comics, and pretty handy at a game of Name That Tune!

Dave BartosPanels & Workshops Coordinator
Dave is the Coordinator of Adult Services at Cranston Public Library. But long before a career in books and reading, he was a comic book reader! Dave grew up reading Spider-Man and Calvin & Hobbes, and loves the way that words and art blend together to tell immersive stories.

Tony Davis – Co-Founder and Creator Liaison
Tony is the beloved owner of The Million Year Picnic, the oldest comic-book shop on the East Coast. Tony is an ardent supporter of independent comic-artists.

Jerel Dye – Graphic Designer/Panels & Workshops Coordinator
Jerel Dye has illustrated two graphic novels; Pigs Might Fly in 2017, and Einstein in 2022, listed as one of the top 10 graphic novels of the year by ALA Booklist. Much of his art stems from a deep interest in science and technology, though it frequently contains a healthy dose of wonder.

Liza Halley – Young Artists Table Coordinator
Liza Halley, school librarian, baker and poet, loves graphic novels and comic and tries to read everything she can get her hands on. Her two boys make their mom laugh by reading their favorite parts of Calvin and Hobbes, Foxtrot and Sherman’s Lagoon out loud to her and their cat, Itsy Bitsy. Liza loves how comics open the word of reading for all ages. She is passionate about building community – especially around creative arts and writing. She can’t wait to see all of the kid comic book creators and readers at the Boston Kids Comic Book Festival.

Jennifer Gehly HeWeb Guru
Jennifer is an entrepreneur, web designer, developer, and graphic artist who builds visually stunning and user-friendly websites. She is very excited to be involved with the Boston Kids Comics Fest as it gives children the opportunity to grow their imaginations, deepen their intellects and hone their artistic skills all by practicing the art of making comics. Meena JainChief Operating Officer 
Meena is the Director of the Ashland Public Library by day and an avid comic book reader by night! “I’m so pleased,” says Meena, “to be part of this effort to encourage budding comic creators to follow their dreams. I’m also a mom, a wife and a traveler both in my imagination and in real life.”

Cailin RoseCommunications Coordinator
Cailin Roles is a PhD candidate in the English department at Northeastern University, where she studies animated film and comics. She is also the Chair of Northeastern’s Comics Studies Group, a community space for scholars, cartoonists, and anyone else interested in comics to gather and share knowledge. Cailin has been an avid reader of comics since middle school, when her older brother lent her a copy of V for Vendetta, and she is excited to help Boston’s youth explore the world of comics and their own creativity.

Jonathan ToddCo-Founder and Illustrator
Jonathan is an art dad and an author/illustrator of graphic novels for kids. His first graphic novel, TIMID, is expected to be published in 2024. See his work HERE.
