Our 4th annual festival celebrates comic books and graphic novels just for kids. With an exhibitors’ marketplace and educational programming, this free event brings together children, parents, caregivers, educators, and librarians and invites them all to learn about new artists and their work and even join the creative process. Boston Kids Comics Fest (BKCFest) will take place at Northeastern University at the ISEC Building on Saturday, June 8, 2023, from 10am to 5pm. Website: bostonkidscomicsfest.org.
Our Mission
BKCFest is a collective of librarians and creators, and our goal is to increase children’s engagement in reading and art. As such, we believe that younger readers need more venues in which to discover comics and graphic novels appropriate to their interests and age group. Boston Kids Comics Fest provides that space where kids can meet creators, express their creativity in a drawing workshop, and explore new work.
The 2023 festival will include free cartooning workshops and a book fair full of authors and illustrators for kids to discover. We are actively inviting the best in the comics business to share their books and swag with the many children and families we expect at BKCFest.
